We are delighted to announce that we have been officially awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Silver Accreditation.

This award is a recognition of our commitment to creating an outstanding culture for our staff, which in turn ensures we provide the highest quality of support for our students. Reflecting on our rapid progress, the assessor noted: "To have achieved so much in such a short time really is a cause to be proud - as is achieving a silver award at the first assessment!"

The assessment process involved a comprehensive survey and in-depth interviews, where we achieved an overall benchmark score of 763 out of 900, comfortably outperforming both the standard Investors in People average (728) and the industry average for secondary education (739).

A Values-Driven Community

Our latest report highlighted our deep-rooted commitment to our mission. Our staff are exceptionally aligned with our values, noting that our child-centered, trauma-informed approach shapes our daily practice.

"Achieving Silver accreditation on our first assessment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team," says Holly Cottrell, our Founder. "Our staff are the heart of this school. This award belongs to every single member of our staff."

Highlights from the Accreditation:

  • Exceptional Values Alignment: We are united by a shared purpose and a passion for child-centered, trauma-informed education.

  • Strong Teamwork: The assessment identified a highly supportive culture where we readily collaborate and support one another through challenging situations.

  • Trust and Autonomy: With over 95% of our staff agreeing that they are encouraged to use their initiative, our professionals feel trusted to make decisions that best support our students.

Looking to the Future

While this Silver accreditation celebrates our current successes, we view it as a foundation for continued growth. Our leadership team is already working on an action plan to further enhance staff development and explore even more effective ways to recognise the incredible contributions of our team.

"This accreditation is a benchmark, not a finish line," adds Holly Cottrell. "We remain dedicated to continuous improvement and ensuring that Impact North West Schools continues to be a leader in educational excellence and staff support."
